The Vice Minister of Rediex, Javier Viveros, presented the Paraguay 2X plan at a meeting with European Union trade attachés in Paraguay, which was attended by advisors from several European countries, with the aim of presenting the progress of a roadmap for the country's sustainable economic growth.
The meeting was led by Vanessa Mock, Head of Trade and Economy at the European Union Delegation to Uruguay and Paraguay, along with the Delegation's technical team, including Kirsti Ala-Mutka, Head of Cooperation, and Verónica Gauto, Press, Policy, and Information Officer. Alejandra Moreno, Senior Sectoral Development Specialist, represented Rediex at the presentation.

During the presentation, Vice Minister Viveros shared the guidelines of the Paraguay 2X plan, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which aims to double national exports in the next ten years and achieve double-digit economic growth. The plan proposes a comprehensive strategy to diversify the production matrix, strengthen strategic sectors such as forestry, agro-industry, technology, and services, and boost innovation and competitiveness of Paraguayan companies in international markets.
The meeting strengthened cooperation ties with the European Union and opened avenues for dialogue on investment opportunities and sustainable development. European representatives highlighted Paraguay's potential as a strategic partner within the framework of the Mercosur-EU agreement and reaffirmed their interest in supporting initiatives that promote the country's productive transformation and international integration.
