As part of his official mission to Germany, Javier Viveros, Deputy Minister of Rediex, held two strategic meetings that consolidate Paraguay's position as a reliable partner in the field of international cooperation and sustainable investment.

The first visit took place in the Wuppertal region, where he was accompanied by representatives of AHK Paraguay and received by the Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid, one of the most influential business chambers in the German industrial heartland.

During the meeting, opportunities for collaboration were explored in areas such as SME internationalization, dual vocational training, industrial clusters, and clean technologies. The potential for attracting investment within the framework of the Mercosur-European Union agreement was also discussed.

The Wupper region, renowned for its tradition in metallurgy, machinery, and biotechnology, is emerging as a strategic ally for Paraguay in its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global integration.

In a second meeting, held in Bonn, Vice Minister Viveros met with representatives of DEG (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft), accompanied by Alejandra Moreno, Senior Sector Development Specialist. This meeting identified concrete opportunities to strengthen the investment ecosystem in Paraguay, positioning DEG as a key financial partner for projects with European capital.

In addition, technical cooperation mechanisms for studies, ESG certifications, and impact models were discussed, as well as institutional ties with the KfW development bank and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
