The event “Paraguay Invests: Transformation, Trade and Integration” was held, organized within the framework of the 66th Assembly of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the 40th Assembly of IDB Invest, consolidating Paraguay as an attractive destination for investment.
The panels and the matchmaking They were led by the IDB in coordination with the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX), of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, strengthening joint work to attract international capital towards strategic projects.
The meeting began with opening remarks by Fabrizzio Opertti, Manager of the Productivity, Trade and Innovation Sector of the IDB, and a presentation by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Marco Riquelme, who spoke about strategic sectoral opportunities for productive development and attracting investment in the country.

Subsequently, IDB Group executives shared the institution's approach to strengthening enabling conditions, mobilizing private investment, and scaling innovation in the region.
The day continued with the matchmaking Investments were facilitated at the event, where Paraguayan project managers presented initiatives to potential international investors. Connections were made through scheduled in-person meetings via the IDB platform and spontaneous encounters between participants, totaling over 200 connections.

The initiatives presented by the entrepreneurs encompassed 11 private sector projects and 2 public sector projects, of medium and large scale, in strategic areas such as renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics, global services and technology, with a total amount exceeding 5.000 billion dollars.
This space of networking It allowed for the identification of concrete opportunities for cooperation and the consolidation of a high-level relationship environment between the public and private sectors and multilateral organizations.
