Beef, ethanol, electrical conductors, samu'u seedlings, peanuts, rice, cotton, soybean oil, organic fertilizers, steel billets, glycerin, aluminum scrap, among other national manufactures, entered the international market for a value of more than USD 28 million, in the last year.
The Rediex Intelligence Directorate reported that, from January to December of last year, some 55 products of national origin were able to enter more than 40 countries on various continents for the first time.
During 2024, shipments exceeded international standards, highlighting the quality and competitiveness of national products.
In Europe, Spain leads the way as an export destination with sales of ethanol worth USD 12 million, as well as parts for transport equipment, electric compensators and cotton. The United Kingdom received biodiesel worth more than USD 3 million, while Germany acquired glycerin and plywood. In Portugal and Thailand, Paraguayan cotton is consolidated, with sales of USD 298.324 and USD 295.170, respectively.
In America, the United States, Mexico, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic are strategic partners. Exports of rice and soybean oil to the Caribbean, beef to Puerto Rico, and industrial and agricultural products to Brazil, Peru and Argentina are notable.
In Asia, Cambodia and Vietnam strengthened trade relations by purchasing copper scrap and offal, while Singapore imported aluminium scrap. Africa, meanwhile, stands out with shipments of peanuts to Algeria and Libya.
Likewise, some national products entered Chile, Colombia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Guatemala, Belgium, Switzerland, Romania, the Netherlands, Albania, Ecuador, Bolivia and Indonesia for the first time.
These achievements demonstrate Paraguay's progress towards international standards, consolidating its place in the global market. The diversification of exported products, from biodiesel and ethanol to industrial and agricultural products, reinforces the competitiveness and sustainability of the national economy.
With these achievements, Paraguay not only strengthens its reputation as a reliable supplier, but also demonstrates its ability to adapt to the demands of increasingly demanding markets.
