On Thursday, June 11, 2024, in the UIP Young Pavilion at Expo 2024, performed the ceremony for the delivery of new “Country Brand” licenses to prominent Paraguayan companies and entrepreneurs. 

The Substitute Minister, Lorena Méndez, from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) was present during the activity; the Vice Minister of the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX), Rodrigo Maluff; authorities of the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP), representatives of the Young UIP, the winners and other special guests. 

The new ambassadors, companies and selected products will be able to carry the distinctive “Paraguay” logo that will enhance their presence as representatives of our country and the values ​​that we want to transmit as a nation. 

During the event, the new licenses were delivered to: 

  • ENVACO SA: is a 100% national capital company specialized in the manufacture of corrugated cardboard and high quality flexographic printing. Currently, the work is carried out on a constructed area greater than 20.000 m², producing 15.000 tons of corrugated cardboard per year for national and international consumption, employing more than 140 Paraguayans. 
  • VEMARCORP SA (VMA SA): The first industry in the country that uses recycled metal as raw material. They stand out for their high efficiency in production, with a technology that is unique in the region, supplying the civil construction sector since 2018. It is the only company that manufactures hot rolled steel products, recycling more than 135.000 tons of ferrous scrap per year. 
  • HYPERGRAIN SA: Company specialized in the production, collection and processing of grains. They export to all continents and are in more than 25 countries around the world. 
  • FELIPA HOME: It specializes in the production and marketing of decorative products for the home, with an exclusive dedication to quality and style. Each piece, handmade by Paraguayan artisans, not only beautifies spaces, but also supports a social commitment to artisan families. 
  • MARÍA VERÓNICA VEGA: Television presenter, producer of the program “Vero Vega Presenta”, whose content focuses on: current affairs, fashion, beauty, art, culture, health, gastronomy, travel, royalty and lifestyle. Her program was declared of “Tourist Interest” by the National Secretariat of Tourism and of “Cultural Interest” by the National Secretariat of Culture. 
  • LUCÍA SAPENA: She has more than 20 years of experience working in the media as a host and producer. She has been participating in film festivals and film awards for more than ten years as a journalist, member of juries, part of the organization of the events or as master of ceremonies. She worked at the “Hannover 2000 Universal Expo”, at the Paraguay stand as one of the hosts and then as an artist, communicator and cultural promoter. Since 2014 she has represented the country in the “Platinum Awards for Ibero-American Cinema” as a journalist, member of the jury and for two years as part of the executive committee. 
  • MARIAN SONIA: It is a Paraguayan brand that is a reference in the country's fashion. The company's mission is to spread our culture to the world through its designs that go beyond traditional classics. He has participated representing Paraguayan fashion in national and international events, among the most important: Paris Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and Buenos Aires Fashion Week. 
  • SKULL MUSIC: It is the instance or event where the protagonists of the music industry meet to connect with international guests. They have carried out 7 editions of “Training Actions” uninterruptedly with the presence of representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the USA and Uruguay. 
  • CAÑAS PARAGUAYAS SA (CAPASA): It is a company that produces the most recognized cane blends in the country. The Country has a reason for national pride in its products. The brands produced by CAPASA, over time, have already established themselves in the public's taste for their quality and excellence. Its rich history originates through an "association of distilleries" in 1909. Years later, in 1941, the Paraguayan Alcohol Corporation (COPAL) was founded, which, in 1951, became the Paraguayan Alcohol Administration (APAL). . Since then, it took just over four decades for the Paraguayan Alcohol Administration to become Cañas Paraguayas Sociedad Anónima (CAPASA) in 1993. 
  • BOLPAR SA: Founded 47 years ago as a factory supplier of cement bags for INC. For about 12 years, it has been manufacturing bags for other sectors such as: construction, food, coal, gastronomy and others. Contribute to education through student internship agreements 
  • HILAGRO SA and its 6 product lines: flours, semolina, Ground Cookies, Dry Pastas, Fresh Pastas and Fresh Tapas: The company is a leader in the production of basic foods. The high quality of its products opened the doors to the demanding Brazilian market, where it has had a subsidiary since the end of 2013. Starting in March 2006, the firm entered the dry pasta market with a wide variety of noodles from the Hildebrand brand, always faithful to the quality that characterizes the brand. 

The new licensees were grateful for the distinction and committed to continuing to positively position Paraguay and its culture.
