Luis SzaránParaguayan musician, he studied in Asunción and at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. Since 1990, he has conducted the Asunción Symphony Orchestra (OSCA) and is artistic director of the Zipoli Ensemble in Venice. He has performed more than 2.500 concerts in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Internationally recognized, he has received awards such as Official Knight of Italy, Order of France and Germany, UNESCO Artist for Peace, and Commander of Paraguay. In 2002, he created the "Sounds of the Earth" program for social integration through music. He was awarded the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship by Oxford University in 2005 and named a "Global Social Entrepreneur" by the World Economic Forum in 2014. He is the author of ten books published in several countries.
