In an important recognition of Paraguay's sport and international reach, the IRONMAN 70.3 event has been awarded the Country Brand license, reaffirming its impact as a promotional platform for our country.
This event follows in the footsteps of the IRONMAN 5i50 in Encarnación, which also received Marca País endorsement in April. This triathlon had a significant impact on the region's economy and tourism, attracting 10.000 visitors and generating an estimated economic impact of $17 million.
The official license presentation took place in the presence of IRONMAN 70.3 officials and representatives at the launch ceremony at La Matrix Ueno Bank. The event organizers, Rodrigo Larrea and Víctor Heredia, and Juan Lichi, municipal councilor of Encarnación, received the license from the General Manager, Alison Townsend.

The IRONMAN 70.3 is a challenging competition for both experienced athletes and those looking to explore the distance. The course includes a 1.9-km swim, a 90-km bike ride, and a 21.1-km run, highlighting the landscapes of the Encarnación waterfront and the Paraná River.
This competition will not only be a memorable sporting experience but will also generate a strong economic and tourism impact for the region, while inspiring national pride and promoting local athletic development. Fueled by the enthusiasm generated by the debut of the IRONMAN 5i50, this new event hopes to attract athletes from across South America and beyond.
