Representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) met with Brazilian businesspeople interested in learning firsthand about the incentives Paraguay offers for new investments. During the meeting, the benefits of the Maquila regime, the new Law 60/90, and the tax conditions and business climate that position the country as a competitive option in the region were presented.
Omar Pereira dos Santos, CEO of OrangeBed, a company specializing in hardware for retractable beds and functional furniture solutions, emphasized the attractiveness of the Paraguayan economic environment. He noted that his interest in investing is primarily focused on the country's tax structure.
“Our interest in investing in Paraguay stems from the taxes, mainly because they are very attractive, in addition to the Maquila Law, which we are studying to understand the benefits of producing here and exporting not only to Brazil, but also to other markets,” he stated.

The visit was made possible thanks to the efforts of the Paraguayan Commercial Attaché in Curitiba, Jhonny Ojeda, who facilitated the initial contact with the business group and provided key information on opportunities for foreign capital in Paraguay.
The visit is part of the work of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), through the Investment and Export Network (Rediex), to strengthen the attraction of investments, especially in industrial sectors with export potential, consolidating Paraguay as a competitive destination and of growing interest for entrepreneurs in the region.
