From January to December, shipments from the platforms served by the MIC's Vice Ministry of Rediex totaled USD 3.573 billion. This growth was led by items such as meat and derivatives, textiles and clothing, auto parts, food, chemical-pharmaceutical products, among others.

The Rediex Intelligence Directorate reported that in 2024, the meat and its derivatives sector continues to be one of the main national products entering the international market, since in 2024 exports of the segment totaled USD 1.996 million, with a growth of 11,2%, compared to 2023. Reaching a total of 486.518 tons throughout the year, with a positive variation of 6,2% compared to the previous period.

The food sector also closed 2024 with positive numbers, as exports amounted to more than USD 444 million, 2,3% more than what was achieved in 2023. While they amounted to a total of 416.509 tons, 7% more than last year.

Another sector that is increasingly increasing its exports is the auto parts and assembly sector, since shipments from January to December were USD 339 million, representing a growth of 11,2%, compared to 2023. Likewise, in terms of quantity, this segment increased by 16%, with some 15.864 tons shipped.

Meanwhile, the textile and clothing sector shipped its products for more than USD 312 million, which represents a positive variation of 17,2%, compared to the figures of the previous year. In addition, it added a total of 57.123 tons, 17,2% more than in 2023.

More Products

Chemical-pharmaceutical products also showed good dynamism in 2024. The Directorate indicated that their exports increased by 8% compared to 2023, adding more than USD 244 million to exports in the sector. Likewise, they reached some 44.624 tons, with a positive variation of 31,4% compared to the previous period.

Among the platforms with a positive trend is also the forestry and floriculture sector, which reported shipments of USD 100 million, with a favorable variation of 5,3%. Meanwhile, it sent 204.136 tons, 10,3% more than what was sent in 2023.

These results reflect the joint effort between the public and private sectors to diversify and strengthen Paraguay's presence in international markets. Rediex continues to be a key player in supporting and promoting national exports.
