Paraguay is strengthening its international presence in the creative sector with its participation in the Designed Giftionery Taiwan 2026 trade fair, held from April 16 to 19 at the Taipei World Trade Center. This event is one of Asia's leading venues for showcasing gift items, design, and crafts, bringing together hundreds of international brands and buyers.

The national delegation, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) through REDIEX, brings together six export-oriented micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs): Morena Toro, Casa María, Guitarra Borja, the Princess Diana of France Foundation, Linaje Guaraní, and Poyvimania. Their offerings include traditional textiles such as ñandutí lace, handcrafted guitars of high artistic value, and design pieces that reflect national cultural identity and creativity.

In this edition, Paraguay is participating with a country stand within the Latin American pavilion, expanding its presence compared to previous years and generating growing interest among Taiwanese and international buyers, who value the quality and authenticity of the national handicrafts.

Inauguration of the Paraguayan stand in Taiwan

The opening ceremony was attended by the Paraguayan Ambassador to Taiwan, Darío Filártiga, who joined the exhibiting companies for the official opening of the Latin American pavilion. Also present was the Commercial Attaché in Taiwan, Macarena Barboza, reaffirming the institutional support for Paraguayan SMEs in their internationalization process.

Participation in Designed Giftionery Taiwan seeks to open new markets in Asia for handcrafted and design products, generate business contacts with international importers and distributors, and position the Paraguay Country Brand as a benchmark of creativity and tradition at global fairs.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) and REDIEX emphasize that this presence is a key step in consolidating Paraguay's offerings in demanding markets, showcasing national creativity and strengthening the country's image in international settings.
