Monetary Stability since 1943

The Paraguayan Guarani is one of the most stable currencies in South America, and the most stable in Mercosur.

Since Guaraní was established as currency in 1943, it never experienced a zero-suppression, abrupt devaluation, or hyperinflation.

GDP Growth of 4.8% last 10 years

Over the last ten years, Paraguay’s economy has grown by an average of 4.8% per year, which is the region’s highest growth rate. In 2015 and 2016, Paraguay’s growth continued despite a negative situation that affected most Latin American countries.

Inflation does not exceed 5% annual in the last 6 years.

Due to monetary control mechanisms and macroeconomic stability, the inflation rate of the last ten years never exceeded 8% per annum. Over the past 6 years, they have never even exceeded 5% per year. On average, annual inflation between 2007 and 2016 was 4.3%.
