PARAGUAY IN THE WORLD TODAY
COUNTRY RISK RATING
The top three financial risk-rating agencies (Moody’s, Standard and Poor’s and Fitch) over the last ten years have consistently increased the rating of Paraguay, which is currently only one-step in investment grade. These improvements reflect both the good governance of the country and the stable economic and political environment and the confidence shown by international investors. Currently, Paraguay is, along with Peru, the only Latin American country that maintains a stable risk rating by the three main rating agencies (Moody’s, Standard and Poor’s and Fitch).
